Vision for Presbyterian Campus Ministry

Who we are:

  • We are the children of God who have left the security of family and ventured into the wilderness of new ideas, choices, and possibilities.
  • We are persons of various ages, cultures, and races challenged to balance the roles and responsibilities of families, jobs, and campus life.
  • We share a common faith heritage as well as a thirst for knowledge, wisdom, and truth.
  • We share the Presbyterian ecumenical cooperation and the oneness of the Body of Christ.
  • We are a vital part of the church and its mission. Through Campus Ministry we are nurtured as the church responds to our needs and interests, and as we share ourselves in the Church's mission and ministry.
  • We experience God's grace in the classroom, on the playing fields, in relationships with people in service to others, in seeking justice as well as in worship, prayer, study of the Scriptures, and in congregations.

With confidence in the sovereignty of God who is calling God's children individually and corporately, Presbyterian Campus Ministry:

  • invites students to a deeper discipleship in Christ
  • provides a sanctuary where students can explore their relationship with God as the Spirit leads them
  • demonstrates God's faithfulness and grace to students in all areas of their lives
  • provides a faith community for worship, prayer, study of God's Word, service, development of talents, and leadership
  • enables students to minister to persons, neighborhoods and communities
  • works through a variety of partnerships with the church and society
